Giving Campus Tours in English
Do you know how to say “Office of General Affairs” in English? And what does “Janitorial Section” mean? How can you give a campus tour when there are foreign guests visiting your school?
Now that Taiwan is part of the WTO and there are more and more cultural exchanges between countries, this book will help teachers and students introduce their school to foreign guests when there are foreign visitors.
The book is divided into 5 chapters: introduction, campus tour, educational philosophy, school life, and school specialties. Each chapter includes 2-3 dialogues, mimicking those that might occur between you and your foreign guests. The chapters also goes into detail explaining some of the vocabulary and phrases, and provides sentence patterns for further practice. American educational pamphlet introduces a little bit about the American school campus and exposes students to the American culture. The appendix provides vocabulary in school and education.
