Let’s say YAY!

　　YAY! is specifically designed for children whose native language is not English. The series contains 12 levels for children 3-6 years old. It is based on the theory of multiple intelligences by Howard Gardner. Children are able to reach learning goals from various learning methods.

　　Children love listening to stories. YAY!’s biggest feature is that each unit is composed of stories. Through stories, children acquire vocabulary words, dialogues, sentence patterns, the alphabet, and apply them to daily life. The big story illustration conceals alphabetical letters the students have learned, vocabulary words, and interesting activities. As the children explore, it cultivates their observation skills, curiosity, and imagination! Each book contains a festival unit. Children get to learn about different cultural festivals from around the world. This will give children global perspective.

　　YAY!’s CD is recorded by professionals. Each unit is recorded in all-English first. Then the story details are recorded in all-Mandarin. Children will love the stories and be able to say the vocabulary words in English. There are also songs and chants to have children immerse in English.

　　YAY! focuses on listening, word recognition, speaking/singing, and gradual progression to reading. “Spiral reviewing” allows children to learn a second language easily, without tests or deliberate memorization. To maximize learning, the CD could be played as background or bedtime story for children to become familiar with the pronunciation and intonation of English. With plenty of input, children will naturally have good English output. Age 3-6 is the best time to cultivate English skills!
